It's not a phone..it's a state of mind

In the not so distant future.........

It has been 20 years since an uneasy peace treaty was signed between the invading alien forces and the planetary republic of Earth. The invasion was halted in exchange for resources to build terraformers and energy harvesters..

In the war that had concluded two decades ago, earth had lost most of its military commanders and tacticians.. The aliens who arrived from the edge of the galaxy using dimension warping techniques, quickly dismantled earth’s resistance by disabling all explosive firearms and nuclear weapons.  As millions of humans are enslaved, the people are looking up to order of Samurai Yogis, earth's last line of defence to restore peace and order and end the alien subjugation.

A group of Japanese and Indian intellectuals established the order of Samurai Yogis at the beginning of the invasion, sensing the futility of modern warfare techniques against a much superior opposition. The Order was created to lead the armed forces of earth to combat the alien menace. It comprised of men and women who were trained from a young age in various disciplines of unarmed and armed combat of the legendary samurai, along with Yogic techniques to persevere and endure battles for longer durations. However, the key ingredient in making a successful warrior was missing in the training. Although the initiates were well versed in techniques to be calm and composed, the fearsome appearance of the alien species struck fear and panic into the hearts of even the most tempered individuals. This in-turn led to chaos and gruesome defeats in skirmishes with the aliens. Now, the Order was faced with a challenge for which they struggled to find an answer.

At this juncture, a brilliant Indian scientist, with years of research, invented a smartphone known as the Asus Zenfone, which would not only serve as a communication and recon device, but also assist in training initiates in the art of composure.. The phone emitted pleasant harmonic waves to soothe the tensed minds and expel fear and rage, taking the user to the fabled Zen state of mind.. Along with this, the phone came with a built in energy shield generator that could deflect crossfires and protect the user from anything but a straight shot.

Armed with the incredible Zenfone and their electro-katanas, the Samurai Yogis were deployed to destroy the strategic wormhole portal generators which served as gateways for the invasion. Fear had always been the controlling factor for the aliens in their conquest of earth. Now, when the Samurai Yogis faced the aliens, they switched on their Zenfones to enter into Zen which allowed them to perceive the enemies intentions beforehand. The Samurai Yogis quickly identified and dispatched the commanders of each generator and destroyed the installations one by one. Without reinforcements and with earthlings gaining confidence with each passing victory, the remaining forces of the alien race were left with no choice, but to surrender their holdings and leave the planet. The Samurai Yogis have now begun restoration and reconstruction efforts to get earth back to its former glory.

Seven + Owen = Heaven??

With most of the faithful devils still wondering about SAF's decision (his 'punt' in his own words) to present Michael Owen with the talismatic No. 7 jersey in United colors, I am somehow inclined to think that this is a wager that would tilt in SAF's favor. And with four goals in as many games during the eastern tour, Owen has shown glimpses of brilliance that had made him the most dangerous poacher on English soil a few years back. But the biggest question in everyone's mind is regarding the fitness (or the lack of it at times due to some of the most unfortunate injuries in recent past) of the man, rather than his undeniable talent.

I think his greatest contributions will be seen in the Champion's League and the domestic cups, where his split second goals in the box will hurt the opponents more. And all this hype will also keep Berbatov on his toes, as he would now know that he has to do a lot better this time around, with a proven goalscorer breathing down his neck for a place in the starting XI all the time.
